Description(s)
The tendency of commodification of the Ngaben ceremony in Bali can be used as material for reflection and consideration for determining attitudes at the philosophical level as well as in the economic and social order. In the religious and cultural traditions of the Hindu community in Bali, Ngaben is a death ceremony as a symbol of purification and a form of sradha-filial piety to parents and ancestors who have died. In-depth and complete information about cremation is important to re-understand what Balinese people have done in carrying out their religious activities.
